The Tribute to 6240 TropicalAs true watch enthusiasts, Artisans de Genève also pays homage to watchmaking legends through the "Tributes?customizations, that consist in modifying a current timepiece to make it look as truthful as possible to an iconic model from the watchmaking history (a craft that is called "backdating?. One of their most significant celebration was the Tribute to 6240 Tropical, a horological homage to the Rolex Daytona 6240 model that acquired over time a very special sought after "tropical"patina. To reproduce this very unique color, Artisans de Genève sent the dials to the Bahamas to age under the tropical climate for several weeks.
"La Montoya?"La Montoya?was designed in collaboration with the racing legend Juan Pablo Montoya. This project offered to entirely modify the iconic 4130 movement into a skeleton, beveled by hand. Each detail is an echo to the automotive world and a tribute to Juan Pablo Montoya's racing career and origins with the counters painted to the colors of the Colombian flag.
